Text messaging: How many times a day do you do it?
Americans send about 20 billion text messages per month, according to a cell phone industry group that has apparently counted them all. Sound like a lot? That's only 85 messages per month per cell phone subscriber, or not quite 3 per day.
By comparison, Korean teenagers are sending an average of 2,000 messages per month -- 60 per day.

I typically sent about 10-15 SMSes/day.
My brother-in-law's 11 year old kid told me that I was too old to text (I'm pushing 40).
About ten of my daily SMSes are for weather and stock quotes.

I text 0 times per day, and find my cell phone way too expensive as it is. :)

i text about 20~40 times per day. consider pretty normal for my country (Malaysia) ppl. Somehow asian are more "crazy" over this SMS thing, they would text almost everything, even "OK" as a reply.
I actually send close to 100-300 texts per day (so that would be 200 to 600 texts total-- sent and received).. may seem like alot but im a texting kind of person.. hate to talk on the phone, and texting lets you be more connected.. plus with a qwerty keyboard on my phone, its easier than calling the person

I probably text maybe 1000 in and 1000 out a day. so 2000 total.

Teen text queen here. I text who knows how many a day...enough where I have to daily delete my inbox lol But text is good n bad. Simple msgs throughout the day can be uplifting however discussing important issues in txt is not a GOOD IDEA!

I send/receive 125/day. Now that I think about it, that doesn't seem like very many. I took that number from an average based on my monthly numbers of 3700+. I need to work on that. I love texting.. very rarely do I talk on the phone.

Mt kid(17 year old girl) set a new record last month with a total of 10,756 text messages. She is a honor student top 10% of class so it has not affected her in any negative that I can see.

My son is texting 500 a day 15,000 a month he is a good student but i think this is a problem, parents give me your feedback, iknow what the teenagers will say. my son is 16. Great kid, but this texting is a problem.

My sister(16 years old) text messaged over 23,000 times in one month. I believe she has set some type of record.

I use about 4500 text messages a month so thats about 150 a day and thats only sms I have a sidekick so I IM on yahoo, msn, and AIM all day.

Last month I texted 3,400 so that's like an average of 109 ish/day? It really isn't all that much , just an extra $20/month for unlimited, since the highest my provider offers is 1,500, except for unlimited.
Probably like 300-500. But that's mostly during school when I don't want to get busted in class.
During weekends or summer I prefer calling, unless I'm talking to multiple people.
